Blind Artist Esref Armagan

I came across an amazing Artist today, Esref Armagan, who was born blind and 'sees' with his fingertips. http://www.esrefarmagan.com He says he 'feels' the shapes first, then works out the whole picture in his mind. It is incredible how he deals with space, light and perspective, without being able to see it. His colours are so fresh,vibrant and full of life. Truly incredible.

Current and Future Projects

I am currently working on a book celebrating my Mother's cooking and our ancient family olive grove in Cyprus.

My book will include a great selection of recipes, and chapters on the history and folklore of the olive, it's many culinary uses and health benefits.

I will be using both paintings and photographs to illustrate my book.
